I'm currently playing live dealer blackjack at Ladbrokes online casino (they don't allow US players though, sorry) and I have to say I'm not impressed. Maybe it's just this casino doing a poor version of it, I dunno. I have used this casino a lot in the past as it's a Microgaming Viper casino but now I figured I should give the live dealers a try. Of course, the offer of a $50 bonus helped that decision slightly
But once I have that bonus in the bag I am out of there, never to return, not even if they offer up another juicy bonus. OK, I might but the bonus would have to be amazing!
I find the dealers and the game too slow. There is a graphical display in the lower half of the screen showing the cards as they are dealt and a webcam picture in the top left corner. I say the cards are shown in the lower screen as they are dealt but they appear there a second or so before the dealer shows the card in the webcam. The dealers are much slower than dealers I have encountered in real casinos both in the UK and Las Vegas. And the whole pace of the game is way down on what I am used to for online blackjack. When the game is this slow I want other distractions such as shouting from the craps pit or a pretty cocktail waitress wiggling her ass around the casino but I have none of that.
It just feels all wrong and I don't see why anyone would play this way.
